From this week, you may notice an extra page in any of the proposals we send out, that’s because Nomad have partnered with the charity SCHOOL FOR LIFE to enable us to give a little something back for every project we do.

In short, when we confirm a new project, a percentage of the contract goes directly to SCHOOL FOR LIFE. That money then goes towards enabling children to get an education, helps families build better lives for themselves, and supports communities as they grow.

SCHOOL FOR LIFE is a not-for-profit organisation focused on making a transformational difference to the communities of emerging countries, starting with Uganda, through providing access to a quality education. SCHOOL FOR LIFE aim to help build educated, sustainable, productive and profitable communities, which can then support themselves.

Some of the work they do includes…

Building Schools in communities where education has previously been unavailable.

Providing children with school uniforms, books and education in a safe, healthy and happy environment.

Employing highly skilled teaching staff and providing modern teaching resources.

Providing children and staff with three nutritious meals a day.

Upskilling members of the community to enable them to earn a living for themselves.

And, maintaining and fuelling vehicles to provide students with transportation to schools and healthcare facilities.

We think the way SCHOOL FOR LIFE supports communities through education-based development is truly inspiring, and we are excited about partnering up with them to do what we can to help. We will be keeping you updated on the projects we help out on, so watch this space!
